Starting Karate for the first time. It can be intimidating and scary. That's normal.

Be proud of yourself for giving yourself permission to try something new. Be proud of yourself for trying something that not everyone will try. Going to your first class can be daunting.

Once you are there, if you are not comfortable just yet to step onto the training floor, no problem. You are welcome to sit and watch.

Trust me though, once you are out there and you are accomplishing things you never thought you would ever do, its an amazing feeling. Its an addicting feeling. You will want to do more and learn more and what you did learn you will strive to make it better and better each class.

Even after 42 years I still have these feelings. Each time i show up to teach class it feels like the first time. I am nervous, anxious, excited all at the same time. Not because im not sure if i want to be there, but because i want to be there so bad that im anxious about it being a good experience for everyone each time.

Be nervous, anxious, cautious, its what keeps us on our toes, sharp and aware.

Once you come to class we will be there to share in your feelings with you and when you are ready we will travel with you on your journey.

Ossu! Jung Shin!!
